I have installed HPSIM w/ SQL MSDE. I want to manage the instance using my SQL Enterprise Manager, but get an error when I attempt to register it. The error I get is:
"Connection could not be established. Reason is SQL Server does not exist or access denied. Please verify SQL Server is running."
I have checked SQL Server is running, and have attemtped use the domain account I used to install HPSIM, the local administrator account and even my own Domain Admin account. Nothing works.
I want to connect and import data from a previous HPSIM installation.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Can not connect to MSDE instance using Ent. Manager
That did the trick. I successfully registered the SQL instance and can import data.
Thanks!!
