Short story:
After adding a new device to SIM I can not display the device, searching for it gives the result "No entries currently meet the list criteria". I can see the devices using the mxnode -ld command.
Longer story:
Our System Insight Manager 4.1 server was recently upgraded from Compaq Insight Manager. The migration was successful as all data was transferred and all 900 devices available through SIM after the upgrade.
However, later I discover when new Proliant devices are added, the device are not available in the web interface of SIM. Searching for newly added devices gives the message "No entries currently meet the list criteria", browsing devices in "System overview" only displays devices imported from CIM.
Neither adding the device through a host file, manually adding devices or adding it with the mxnode -a command seems to help. I can see the devices using the mxnode -ld command. The mxnode -ld output gives approx. 30 lines of data.
Removing the device with mxnode -r, verifying the removal and adding the device again does not help.
The user ID is authorized for the built-in "All managed systems" system group and "All tools" toolbox.
Would anybody have a hint or suggestion to what might cause this problem?
