After upgrading to 5.0 I can not logon anymore. The process after the install was never run by the installation program. I have tried just about any combination of user and passwords I could think of. It did work very well under 4.2.
Please help me!!

Re: Can not login after upgrade from 4.2 to 5.0
The server OS is Win2000 Sp4. I am using the MSDE database. It connects to the instance called WUS from the previous installation of Windows Update SErvices (running on the same server).
I did add the TCP/IP protocol for this instance.
Maybe stupid, but I did a uninstall and now a new install too see if the problem arised from the upgrade. I will not lose that much information from 4.2..

Re: Can not login after upgrade from 4.2 to 5.0
Problem solved, but lost old data as I deinstalled the software.
The problem was the suggestion from installation program of using server\wus as MSDE connection.
Once after changing it to just server the installation worked OK.
After reading the logs I understood the problem was access to the database. a few trial and errors helped this.
This might be a problem of RTFM, but I have done installations and upgrades of SIM and IM before without any problems, and the installation guides were not that compact in format. Well thanks for your interest!
