Can Sims monitor a workstation

We have an HP Compaq dc7600 Small Form Factor PC running Server 2003 that we use for processes, etc. Can I install the Sims management agents, VCA, etc. for Server 2003 on this workstation to monitor it like my other servers?

No it can't since i not made for HP Insight like a proliant server it made.

jop, you can do some default SNMP Monitoring, but no SIM Agent for PC! So you can at least discover them and send SNMP Traps to SIM. regards ms

But you want to full package....MIB'S from the Agent are made for Proliant Server that why and don't try the support for what ever problem you get from HP.
You won't get it to work item like hard predictive failure,raid error,ect..you could add Sim agent for dc7600:

You can monitor it with the workstation agents (SP22909.exe).
However, you won't have all the informations the HP agents for servers can provide you but it will much better than using only SNMP. I have some Dell Optiplex using W2003 server and the agents are installed on them.
