Can't assign PPA license to server (mgmt agent too low?)

Hi,

I can't assign PPA licenses to some of my servers. I get the message "Management Agents v6.20 or higher are required" at the Licensing page, but I have the HP/Insight Management Agents v7 installed! I use Insight Manager 7 SP2.3.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks!!

The latest release of the Performance Management Pack is version 2.1A. If you arrived at IM7 SP2.3 by patching an existing installation, the IM7 updates did not update PMP at the same time. Download PMP 2.1A and apply it to recognize the version of the agents you are using.

Re: Can't assign PPA license to server (mgmt agent too low?)

Thanks for your answer! I did what you asked me to do: I've downloaded PMP2.1 (I suppose this is the same as 2.1A?) and installed it. I had to reboot the server to apply the update, so I did.

The problem is that after the reboot the Insight Management agents were recognized, because the services weren't running (not started and the startup was set at "manual"), so I started them and everything worked fine again. Except for one thing... I don't see the PPA service anymore: not in the Services snap-in, not on the Systems Management homepage and not in Insight Manager...

Does anyone know how this comes and how to fix this? Thanks!
