Can't get SIM to run post install

The manager check service comes up and says "Checking HTTP server status"...forever.

Sean,
What version of SIM are you running? Is it 4.2 - SP2?
If so...then I have seen in the past where the service seems to hang forever, so I added the SIM server and a couple of other servers to the local Hosts file and restarted the SIM service and SIM loaded right away. This told me I had a DNS issue...
If you aren't running SIM - SP2, then there is the possibility of a fairly recent Microsoft patch causing an issue. The SP2 update fixes this hanging issue.

That is interesting, I am running the latest version..SIM 4.2 with SP2.
