Can't install SIM on ML370
I am unable to get SIM to install on a old ML370 G1, and I get the following error.
The software is not supported for installation on this system.
The installation program couldn't find the appropriate system management
controller driver which is required but is not currently installed. Please
install the appropriate system management controller driver and then rerun
the setup program.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Can't install SIM on ML370
I'm assuming that you are actually speaking about the Insight agents and not the HP Systems Insight Manager application, correct?
You should not (and can not) install just the agents. They are dependent on driver software to provide the data from the devices. To make this easy, the ProLiant Support Pack provides all of the drivers and utilities necessary, with the correct order of installation.
Get the PSP for your operating system by going to http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> Software Downloads and Registrations --> ProLiant --> Choose OS --> ProLiant Support Pack

Re: Can't install SIM on ML370
Is there one drive that it looks for? I am trying to NOT have to come in late after hours to install this so I want to just get the agent on there without rebooting the system during the day.
thanks

Re: Can't install SIM on ML370
Sorry. Even if all you wanted was the health information from the health driver, that's the one that will require a reboot if not already on there.
