Can't install SIM v5 on DL140 with partial Insight 7 installation
Hi there,
I'm having real probelms trying to install SIM v5 on a DL140. The server had a previous partial installation of Insight Manager 7 on it - someone had tried to uninstall but had had problems as the uninstall wouldn't run. So they deleted the directory !?!
Now, when I try to install SIM 5, the installation doesn't complete as it says I have a previous installation in and need to look at data exporting. But I can't access the previous instalation - have checked in services and can't see any remotely relevant services running.
Does anyone know how I can clean up theuninstall and get a fresh copy of SIM 5 running on the machine?
thanks,
Glenn

Re: Can't install SIM v5 on DL140 with partial Insight 7 installation
Make sure that all the Registry entries pertaining to IM7 are deleted. Once this is done you should be able to install SIM5 without any problems.
