Cannot add MSCS Cluster, behind a Firewall, to SIM

Hello,

I have a two-node Windows 2003 cluster behind a firewall that I cannot get added to SIM. Both cluster nodes themselves have been sucessfully added, but not the cluster itself. I have the cluster agent enabled in the HP Agents configuration tool (in Control Panel) and my SNMP settings are correct (as indicated by the fact that I have been able to add both individual nodes).

I have followed the "Managing HP servers through firewalls with HP Systems Insight Manager" whitepaper and had our FW administrator add all the ports listed in it:

System Discovery1
All
ICMP or TCP:80
CMS
System Identification
VC, RAS
HTTP:2301
CMS
Secure Requests
VC, RAS
HTTPS:2381
CMS
Software Identification
VC
SNMP:161
CMS
VCR Request2
VC
HTTPS:2381
System (DMZ)
Status Update3
VC
HTTP:280
System (DMZ)
SSH
SSH
SSH:22
CMS

I am wondering...does a cluster have a different set of ports that it needs open to allow it to be added to SIM, and the above list is only for server nodes?

Any help is appreciated.

Re: Cannot add MSCS Cluster, behind a Firewall, to SIM

I don't have any words of wisdom but I find that MSCS clusters are still a work in progress in SIM. We've got on the order of 40 or so MSCS clusters INSIDE our FW and only about 15 of them show up in SIM. I've not really dug into the why part but I think some of it is due to IP resource designations (clusters and nodes represent the same or similar IP resources) and SIM won't add two systems that have the same IP (I think)...
