Cannot get PMP to restart with HPSIM 4.2
I cannot get PMP beyond the Red Critical Circle.
I can get to both the PMP Licensing and PMP configuration page.
I've tried:
From Configuration, Stop all Monitoring and Restart.
Stop and Start the HP Proliant Performance Pack and HP PMP Tool Services.
As above but in combination, e.g. Stop all monitoring from the Services, Stop both Services, Start Services, Start Monitoring.
I've also noticed that the Update Server list will not pick up a New Server in the PMP Licensing Screen.

Re: Cannot get PMP to restart with HPSIM 4.2
They came back this morning...
Yes, I did an initial check post install. I also licensed our Dl380 G4 which is only recognised by 3.1.
I updated the JRE on the HPSIM Box to 1.4.2_06 as a result of the report from testing the VPM.
This needed a reboot. The icons all looked okay on HPSIM ( green and yellow) but I couldn't access any PMP Pages including the License and Config screens.
After restarting the PMP Service I could then access the License and Config screens but the PF Icons were always red and stayed that way hours not minutes I'm aware of the time to establish .
This morning I had an odd lock up on IE on my workstation that took out my HPSIM and other sessions. Logging in now and the PMP Agents are fine. I cannot see how that would be related.
I'm confused.

Re: Cannot get PMP to restart with HPSIM 4.2
The other issue, now that things have started monitoring correctly that is still outstanding is that the Update Server List on the License Screen doesn't seem to work.
We've a new DL380 G4 Server that is fully accessible and recognised by HPSIM, all SNMP Settings are okay as far as I can see. It is not appearing in the List of Servers to license.

Re: Cannot get PMP to restart with HPSIM 4.2
2. The PF column showing critical icon could be for the follwoing reason:
Agents are not retuning the complete data to PMP, please start HP Management agents on the monitored server could resolve the PF status.

Re: Cannot get PMP to restart with HPSIM 4.2
We have a new Server that happens to be another Dl380 G4. I cannot get PMP to see the new Server. This Server is fully accessible by the Management Agents, VCA etc. and the VCA status is okay.
Using the Update Server List button does not find the new Server.
Polling Tasks for H/W and S/W have run.

Re: Cannot get PMP to restart with HPSIM 4.2
It must reference a table updated by the Bi-Weekly Task.
