Cannot initialize the database

Hi folks,
I can't open SIM 5.3 and on further investigation I get these errors in the evnt log and also when I do a mxconfigrepo -c . Thanks very much for any ideas. Pretty urgent problem really.

HP Systems Insight Manager shutting down: com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Problem initializing the database.
com.hp.mx.database.DbVerificationException: Authentication type should be host or dbms. We cannot initialize the database

Hy, Iam getting the same errors here and cant seem to get further. where you able to resolve this?
