Change Look of Email Notification

The new email notification looks much worse than previous. Is there any way to change the appearance? Or at least get rid of the grid lines?

You have a choice of 3 formats for emails, standard, SMS/pager or HTML. The first two are plain text. HTML sends a duplicate of the event details page that you would view online.

Change your Automatic Event Handling task and make your selection standard and see if that's better for you.
