Change reference support pack

After upgrading from 7.40 to 7.50 the server still shows the reference support pack to be 7.40. All of the components from the new support pack is however installed. How do I set the correct reference support pack?

Re: Change reference support pack

First I would suggest to refresh your VCA page.
Go ino your System Management Homepage and click on Version Control agent and then click on the link in your VCA page and change the reference support pack.

Re: Change reference support pack

The idea is to configure one Managed System exactly how you like it, and then replicate those settings over all the other Managed Systems.

For Windows Support Packs, notice that the "Support Pack for Windows 2000" is quite different from the "2003-Support Pack".

Procedure:
Select a server that has representative settings for all other Managed Systems.

On that server, open SMH, Version Control Agent
-select Change Agent Settings
-leave computername, account and password the same
-select correct Reference Support Pack
-
-

Now get back to the HP Systems Insight Manager console.
-select Configure
-Replicate Agent Settings
-Select Target Systems
-Choose Source System. This is the system you configured above.
-Choose Source Configuration Settings:
-HP Version Control Agent
-Version Control Agent Configuration Settings
-Version Control Agent
-Check "Reference Support Pack"
-Check whatever else you like ("Log Aging" for example)
-Select "Run Now".
