Is there a tool that will allow BIOS changes without a reboot? I want to add Asset info and disable the lights out NIC on our Proliants(ML370's, 380's, 360's) but rebooting each one will take forever. The big issue is to get Insight to show the asset tag. But I want to clear all the lights out error off the servers as well.
Thanks in advance!

Solution
I don't know about remote BIOS editing,
but easy way to clear ILO status errors is:
open Control Panel -> HP Management agents and move "Remote Insight Information" from active agents tab to the inactive agents tab. Do HP agents restart and it's all.

Re: Changing BIOS settings without rebooting
There isn't a Windows solution, but hpasmcli lets you do some things (not including asset tag) but since the ROM information is only read in at boot time, nothing takes effect until a reboot.
