Changing DB from Postgresql to Oracle
Hello,
I’ve made a default installation of HP SIM v5 (with Postgresql) and now I’d like to test it with an Oracle DB…
I’ve run 'mxinitconfig –r' to unconfigure the server.
Now, I’m trying to configure my Oracle DB with 'mxoracleconfig' but each time I’m trying and I get :”
Cannot run mxoracleconfig because either HP Systems Insight Manager has already been initialized or it is in the process of being upgraded to a newer version.
“
Any idea on how I can do that ?

Re: Changing DB from Postgresql to Oracle
Hello Philippe,
Afaik, Oracle database can be selected only while a custom install of SIM.
Not too sure if it can be changed after SIM installation.

Re: Changing DB from Postgresql to Oracle
Hello Sandeep ! Thanks for the quick answer... You were right, I've re-installed HP SIM with an Oracle 10 database and it's working fine !
