Check Event Configuration Task HP SIM 5.2 SP1
I initiate this task from the
SMH->Options-> events-> Check event configuration to check if a server monitored by SIM is
A Has WBEM or requires WBEM subscriptions.
B Configured to send SNMP Traps
I run this task on an individual server basis to determine what needs to be configured to provide HP SIM momitoring.
I was intending running this Task on a newly discovered system, when the Scheduled Task page was shown, prompting me to create a scheduled task.
I have never had to create a scheduled task to perorm the Event configuration task previously.
The task has previously run on demand straight from the
SMH,->Options-> events-> Check event configuration selection.
Now all tasks below
SMH,->Options-> events-> now open up the scheduled task dialogue box forcing me to put these tasks in a schedule.
This change in behaviour has likely been caused following a Reboot of the CMS and/or from the installation of Microsoft updates, that I have no control of.
In summary
The task does run but Ihave to go through the additionalsteps for all servers
Select a targe server ( as I did previously)
Select the event configuration check from the
SMH,->Options-> events-> (as I did previously)
The task would run. and results would display
I now have to also
create a task to run the Event configuration check
Select task to run now
Wait for the results
Delete the task from the task list
3 additional tasks id not need to perform previously
Has any other HP SIM user seen this behaviour before on the CMS.
Is there a remedy or some checks that I can work through?
