compaq agents
Hi all, I am trying to fix all my unmanages systems in HP SIM and finding that alot of them dont even have the compaq agents installed. On the ones that work fine there are 6 Compaq agent services and the ones that dont, have none. How do I install these agents? from the smart start CD? and do I need to find the correct CD per model of server?
Thanks a bunch

Re: compaq agents
If you have the Version Control Repository Manager installed and operating, you should be able to use the "Initial ProLiant Support Pack Install" function in HP SIM to distribute the PSP.

Re: compaq agents
Ok well when I try this I get a trust relationship error. basically that one exists. Can you tell me how to setup this trust relationship between the CMS and the managed servers. I am pretty sure I did see a certificate in the CMS that does not expire until 2014.
Thanks soo much

Re: compaq agents
My advice is to push out the entire softpaq.
If you only have six servers my recommneded path would be:
Download the appropriate softpaq (OS dependendent) to asuitable directory. You may already have done this and it's in your Repository.
Run Setup.exe, configure the Agents by expanding items in the Left Hand Panel. You can set up passwords, trusts etc. If you've already done this via the VCRM then these will show up as configured.
Select the Server to deploy to and hit the Install button.
You will need to reboot the Server concerned.
