Configuration problems with VMM in HPSIM

Hi! I can register and license 14 esx hosts in HPSIM but I have some issues I don't understand. The information I get from these esx hosts are different but I apply the same configuration in each one. In the attached picture you can see what I mean. In the left esx list srvesx08, srv-vmware03 and srv-vmware04 haven't got the plus sign. In the main list only 3 hosts shows its enclosures. Srvesx02, srvesx05 and srvesx06 haven't got the product name and OS name description.

After ESX SNMP agent installation, is SNMP configured properly for HP SIM to discover correctly.

I see that if HPSIM has not identified any guests against that particular host server.

I've found identifying linux guests to be problematic.

Re: Configuration problems with VMM in HPSIM

I found that HPSIM v5.2 and upwards solves many of these problems, however you should also review following suggestions:

1) Go to 'Options' / 'Protocol Settings' / Global Protocol Settings'.
In the section 'Default WBEM Settings' be sure you add a user 'root' and the ESX root password. If they are different on each server then you'll need to do it afterwards with 'System Protocol Settings'.
Hereafter you'll need to do 'Identify Systems' or move along to point 2.

2) Try removing your ESX-servers and try adding them again by entering their hostnames instead (via manual)

That should fix the problems.
