Configure or Repair Agents Fails

Whenever I try to use the configure or repair agents task to correctly set the trust mode to "certificate", I get authentication failed error. I have tried using domain admin account and local admin account with same result. My Central Management server is in different domain then host I am trying to repair; but I am using domain account for host - not SIM server. Anyone seen this?
