Configuring Netware Servers
I am looking for help in configuring CIM 7 sp2.3 I am unable to set disk thresholds, update patches remotely thru the VCD on any of my netware servers. I am unable to locate any documentation regarding the proper configuration of Netware servers in CIM 7

Re: Configuring Netware Servers
The agents for NetWare don't support group configuration from IM7 so to set the disk thresholds you will have to visit each server's web agent individually.
The Version Control Repository Manager/Version Control Agent is not available for NetWare. However, it is possible to use the ProLiant Support Pack for NetWare and script it for easy deployment. See the User Guide at http://h18013.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/WebDoc/700/psp-users-guide.pdf and check out chapter 3.
You can find additional information about the management agents in the user guide's chapter 6 on NetWare specifics at ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/management/imaug.pdf
Brad Kirby, product manager for IM7/hpSIM, presented a session at HP World last August on managing "ProLiant Servers Running Netware." You might benefit from his slides at "https://www.hpworld2003.com/published/2239/263,1,Managing ProLiant Servers Running NetWare (2239)" [because of the spaces, you probably will have to cut and paste this address]
One thing that is mentioned in that presentation is that a VCA for NetWare was under evaluation. At this time, that project hasn't been funded, and Novell's recent acquisition of SuSE and their subsequent announcement that NetWare services will be delivered in the future not separately but as part of an enterprise server product based on Linux has us re-evaluating again the need for VCA on NetWare. (VCA is already available on Linux)
Additionally, check out http://h18000.www1.hp.com/partners/novell/ for partnership information about HP and Novell.
