Configuring SSH

I have installed Insight Manager 4.1 SP1 and applied the required Hotfixes on a server in a brand new AD 2003 doamin.

I am now running thorugh the set up and have got too configuring SSH. Having installed SSH on the other servers I am now running the mxagentconfig command to connect ot the other server in the domain.

I have created a new domain account and resgistered it using the mkpasswd command but no matter what I enter into the Manage SSH Keys window the system refuses to connect.

i have tried a combination of user name and domain\username and also tried with the administrator account non of which have worked.

DNS appears to be working OK but I cannot get any further

Re: Configuring SSH

If you do not use an account named "administrator", refer to http://www.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/HPSIM_SSH_WP.pdf , page 11 for details.

Re: Configuring SSH

It is odd; it appears the link is valid, but yet it errors out when attempting to open it.

In any case, the white paper will open when accessed from http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/infolibrary.html

Re: Configuring SSH

try giving the ip address in the hostname field, and the corresponding credentials and then try configuring the SSH keys.
