SolutionOn the HP Site there's a load more documentation besides the Installation Guide.
HPSIM is more of a collection point, so you need to look at what the Server Agents etc. can monitor as it's those that send the traps back to HPSIM.
From the HP Management Agents GUI (under Control Panel) you can select Services to monitor.
The other main benefits of HPSIM are Inventory information, HP Software Version control and the ability to deliver a range of notifications.

Go to Control Panel, there should be an item for the HP management Agents or similar, sorry I'm not at a suitable system just now.
