I get this warning-events on windows 2000 server when i want to start the HP Managements Agents.
Same error for the following modules:
CPQMHOST, CPQSTAT, CPQTHRSH, HOSTALRT, CPQHLTH, and CPQSM2
Event ID: 264
Text: The Compaq Foundation Agents service could not load the module "CPQMHOST". The data contains the error code.
Data: 0000: 7f 00 00 00
Uninstall and Reinstall the whole support pack doesnt work. I tried it several times. Than I tried to remove all registry entries and files by hand and then install the support pack: no way to get the agents working.
Anyone any idea where to search for the problem?
thanks!

Re: ... could not load the module "CPQMHOST".
cqmghost.exe: Version 7.60.0.0
cpqmhost.dll: Version 7.60.0.0
CPQSTAT.dll: Version 7.60.0.0
etc.
formerly ther were very old agents installed. don't know which version... but Control Panel entry was called "Compaq Management Agents" and not like now "HP Managements Agents".
Thanks for any hints.

SolutionWell not to much compatible this 2 for un upgrade.
CPQMHOST 7.50
CPQSTAT 7.50
CPQTHRSH 7.50
HOSTALRT 7.50
CPQHLTH 7.50
CPQSM2 7.50
quicky try uninstall HP AGENT, try reinstall compaq management agent, reboot see if error still present or not, remove compaq management agent anf then reboot, install the version 7.50 HP Agent(do not install 7.6 yet it still brand new and not yet tested fully, we have problem in the past with brand new HP Agent : HP Agent uses 100 CPU,ect..ect.)
