CPU Reporting in SIM 6.3.x and 7.x
Does anyone know whether the below problem was fixed in SIM 7.x ? I'm close to migrating to the latest version of SIM, but am stuck with version 6.3 just a little longer.
In 6.3, SIM CPU report data reflects Hyperthreading values. For example, two 8-core CPUs on a Windows 2008 Server will show as 32 CPUs in a SIM report.
We're using SNMP as the data source in System Management Homepage. SMH correctly reflects two 8-core CPUS in Home\System\Processors, but shows 32 in Home\Operating System\Processors.
I believe the difference here is between SNMP and WMI. It would then appear that SIM Reporting is utilizing WMI over SNMP data. Any way to flip that? I read through the 6.3 user guide, but this topic isn't touched.
