Creating a new system type
I am trying to create a new system type from a MIB that I installed. When I get to the "MIB variable object identifier" option, shoud I choose the standard "rfc1213.mib" and "sysDescr"? I've tried to change it to the new MIB but I don't know what to choose for the MIB variable name and it then won't retrive the "Object value" from the system. I've read through the documentation on adding new MIBs but nothing says to what to do at this point.

Re: Creating a new system type
I use the "Retrieve From System" Button and enter the IP Address of the device I'm interested in.
So, I might just select part of the text in the Object Value and change the Matching criteria.
The MIB you've loaded will primarily be used for decoding any SNMP Traps, while the RFC MIB should be used for the device identification.
