Credentials fail when deploying support pack
G'day all
I've configured the "Initial Proliant Support Pack Install" with the admin username / password of the HPSIM server. The version respository is 7.3 and also configured.
When I deploy the agents to a target server ("Install Software and Firmware" task), it fails with credential errors. The Windows event log of the HPSIM server shows SUCCESSFUL authentication of the local admin user at the time of running, but the log from the job says invalid credentials (see below). Where do I find what's wrong here, change the PW, etc?
1383 23/06/2005 4:34:58 PM Unable to login to MLBN01. The login account or password is invalid.
1383 23/06/2005 4:34:51 PM The Smart Component file, cp005171.exe, could not be retrieved from the Version Control Repository Manager on server MLBN01. The download will be retried. [ details ]

Re: Credentials fail when deploying support pack
Dave,
You'll have to supply the credentials of the target machine and NOT that of the HPSIM server.
Regards,
AMicSys

Re: Credentials fail when deploying support pack
Thanks AMicSys
It worked if I used the "Initial Proliant Support Pack install" instead of the "Install Software and Firmware".
From what I understand (read), you should do the Initial PSP install first, then the Install SW and FW should work since it's connecting to the Version Control Repository (which is MBLN01). So I think when I trigger this event, the client system cannot connect to this server due to credential issues error as seen above.
Thanks, I'm still new to this tool and finding my way around it, appreciate your help.
