Customize SMS/Page template?

Is there a way to further customize the template for Pager/SMS notifications? After testing this weekend I still received traps that were spread over 3 SMS's even on the SMS style.

Hi all,
I also need to trim SMS notifications to be under 160 characters.

For example: from the notification below I would remove model, fw and serial.

"SRV1098 Physical Drive Status Change (3046) Location: Slot 0 ype: parallelScsi Model: COMPAQ BD3008A4C6 FW Rev: HPB4 Serial Number: 3KR1Y38T00007639RXUV Failure Code: 0 Bus: 1"

Any solutions (except Rob's-Perl-Tricks :-)?
