Customize the 'System Page' for a system in SIM

Greetings!

I am a newbie to these posts, but the info is GREAT!

I am wondering if/how we might be able to customize the "System Page" within SIM for a server that is managed w/in it. When a server is clicked on once it is found and listed in the Search Results page, there are three expandable items on the "Identity" tab of the System Page - Identification, Product Description and Contact Information.

I would like to either edit or replace the details under Product Description with different attributes such as system ROM, controller and its firmware level/slot, serial number, various slots and how they are populated and the drives/firmware levels.

It looks like the Product Description is made up of some element called 'Group1' but I am not able to find that to customize it or figure out how to create a new 'Group' to reference with the details we'd like to see.

This would be SUPER if we could access this type of detail right there on the main System Page for a server rather than having to go through all the clicks of running a report each time we want to see details of a system.

I've attached a 'dream' MS Paint file of what I mean. Any help, even if it is 'not possible' is appreciated. Thanks!

Hilde

Hi!
I don't know if it's possible to accompish what you are looking for, but in fact you're only two clicks away from the information you want:
Click 1: Tools & Links
Click 2: Data Collection Report

Maybe not the answer you asked for, but that's how I do it...

Hey - THANKS for the reply - that quick data collection report is SWEET! That has already helped me!

I'd still like to know if I can do what my original post describes, though.

Thank, Hilde
