Database Corruption after deleting devices in SIM

HP Support is saying that when you delete devices from SIM it corrupts the database. They suggested that I repair the database each time I delete devices.

Can anyone verify if this is correct?

Not at all. you can anytime delete/add devices.

May be they have different context. some special case.
but generally you don't need to repair or do any thing whren u delete /add..

Re: Database Corruption after deleting devices in SIM

Chad,

As long as you're deleting/adding from the GUI or CLI, then you shouldn't just get database corruption. If you're doing direct SQL actions on the SIM tables, then all bets are off. HP does not support any direct manipulation of the SIM database objects. The only thing that is supported is reading from the reporting views. If you're not doing anything within SQL directly, then you should probably push back on support and escalate if necessary.
