Device Status Change not sent in SIM 4.2

Hi all.

In IM7, each time the status of a device was changing we were notified, even if no trap was sent from the faulty server. In SIM, the only status change that is notified is Critical and back from Critical.
Is it possible to enable a device status change notification to be emailed each time the status of a device changes even if no trap is sent ?
The main example is from our NW 5.1 servers : there is no trap destination configuration so when an AbEnd occurs, the status changes from Normal to Major but SIM does not send any email. That was the case with IM7.
Another example is when a raid is back to Normal after a disk drive change.

We are having the same issue. We relied on the system status messages that could be sent out by IM7 and can not get SIM 4.2 to perform this task. I have spent several days trying to create an event notifiction task and it seems as though this functionality was left out of SIM4.2.
Anyone from HP care to comment?

I have the notifications to send emails when the system goes back to normal by using Major, Minor, and Normal. That way, when the system returns to normal (after an array was rebuilt or drive status is OK) you get an email.

It's kind of a PITA because you get ALL the emails though. Enjoy.

Hi.

My task is set to send eMails when the event IS NOT informational, so I should receive them when the server status goes back to normal. This is not the case.

Having a similar issue...

Where can I see system status changed events?, all I can see under events in CMS seem to be things like login attempts, discovery ..

A disk failed on a host this morning and has been replaced, it was picked up by our old CIM server (v7) when I checked the new SIM server (4.2) the status was green - as the disk had already been replaced - but where can I see the history i.e that an event occured and has been resolved
