Discover one server and another disappears
Interesting problem
I have two systems with the names a01nd1 and a01cL1.
When I manually discover A01CL1 the other one dissappears and if I manually discover A01ND1 to put it back then A01CL1 dissappears.
there are other sets like that, what could be causing it? They a part of a cluster but there are some other systems in SIM that in a cluster and it marks them as such and doesn't delete them.
Thanks
JR

Re: Discover one server and another disappears
Do you have the clustering agent turned on both nodes?
If not, check in this location to be sure that these values are different:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Compaq Insight Agent\hostGUID
If the two are the same then you need to figure out a way to get that fixed (good luck).
HP said to delete it then re-add but that was not successful for me. I also tried reinstalling the agents. This is only a problem if you used Norton Ghost or some other way to build this server other than manual or RDP.
