Discovered devices only register as IP address not host names

I have followed the set-up instructions in the documentation but when I come to add devices ip address ranges the discovered devices come up as ip address' rather than host names. I have entered the correct dns server address' into my server's ip config. Please advise..

Gary,
SIM is very dependent on DNS so typically if it can't resolve server names through the discovery process it will default back to the IP address. So it's usually a DNS issue.
Check your DNS forward and reverse zones and see if the servers are properly listed there. If they are, several folks in this forum have created a hosts file on the SIM server and that seemed to get past the problem.

Thanks for that, I have used a local hosts file and everything is resolving correctly now.
