Does hp-sim require its snmp community name to be read-write
Even through its very document outlines that it is ok if its communit name is read only, i understand that for hp-sim's disk threshold feature to work it needs to be read -write. This is the only way that the disk threshold feature will work. Can someone elaborate. I have also obviously changed my community names from public to something else, but even then, setting the hpsim community name to read-write is a security issue. I rather it be read only

Re: Does HP-sim require its snmp community name to be read-write
Hi,
Yes, you need at least one read-write community string at the agent in order to set disk thresholds. This is because the internal agent communications are done using SNMP. You only need to set this at the agent though and not at the CMS.
