Domain Controllers on ESX
I have two domain controllers that are virtualized on ESX 3.5 U4 servers. On the same ESX servers I have several member servers. In SIM the DC's Product Name is blank, whereas the member servers are showing as VMware Virtual Platform.
Is there something I need to do so the DCs register properly in SIM?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Domain Controllers on ESX
No, the discovery & identification processes are the same.
Identification is either via snmp or wbem.
If you're using wbem credentials to ID the servers it may be these don't have access to the DC servers.
Run an ID task and check the results.
If you use snmp then just verify the allowed hosts etc. are correct.
