Duplicate and flood of traps

hello all. I'm running SIM 4.2 with HP OV NNM 7.5. All of my servers have the HP insight management agents installed. My question has a couple of parts to it. Firstly, whenever a trap for a threshold alert is received, it shows up twice (both in NNM and SIM), secondly, whenever a server restarts all current threshold settings and current server status (eg power not redundant etc) traps are sent. Is there any way of supressing a) the traps being sent twice (it's in the event log twice) and b) "status" traps being sent after reboot?
