Email alerts stoped working

Running HP SIM 4.2 and suddenly my email alerts for critical and major events have stopped working. Seemed to stop working shortly after I applied SP2 to fix the problem of old email alerts flooding my mailbox. My SIM server is receiving events, and there are lots of major and critical events logged as I've been upgrading to PSP7.30 on all our servers and obviously the reboots have triggered alerts. Checked my email ocnfiguration and all seems correct.

From within the Automatic Event Handling page, the task details for EmailEventHandler is showing lots of jobs with a green tick but with a status of "pending". The older jobs from over 1 week ago have a status "complete". Is this a clue to where the problem lies?

I just installed the latest PSP on my Insight Manager server which solved the problem. The emails just kicked into life.
