Error when polling for data collection: the server does not have any instrumentation

I have installed the agents into the Win2K svrs (mainly Proliant ML370). I have also set the Community string name (Read/Create rights) the same as set in HP SIM 4.2. And to receive SNMP pckts from any host. The agents and SNMP.exe under services.msc are showing running.
Problem is when I do a data collection poll for these servers, it gave me an error tat the server does not have any instrumentation.
1. What else have I not set?
2. Any more detailed error log I can check for?
3. Any commands or tool I can use to trace to confirm that the SNMP is working fine btwn the manager and the managed server?
4. What other solutions or things I can look out for?
Pls help. Thanks!

Try using 'Configure or Repair Agents' as that will solve any communications protocol problems you may have.

Tks, will try that when I'm back in office tmr. I've been testing out for days even wks and yet I have no idea what is the cause of the problem. almost giving up on it.

But any other solutions that I can try?
