ESX System Management Homepage reboot option

Is there a way to diable the reboot option on ESX HP Insight Agents (7.70). The feature can be disabled on the windows SMH agents, but I dont see the option to disable on ESX.

Can it be disabled during the install or is there a conf file that can disable that feature.

We want to use HP SIM to allow support staff access to the the SMH without giving out root password. We want to limit the ability to reboot a server to only those with a need.

The reboot option is disabled if the user is logged in with "Operator" or "User" privileges into SMH.

Hence, you can probably create a user on ESX and provide "Operator" privileges in SMH. This will provide access to the SMH while restricting features (like the reboot option) requiring Administrator privileges.

Thanks for the feedback, that may be a workaround, but we want to be able to use HP SIM CMS to allow support staff access in a controlled manor. We have a policy against using a faceless account and have many support persons that would have access.
