ESX3i Update 4 Server - fails to subscribe to wbem
We are looking at 3i with a view to dropping the redhat side of v3 and i have downloaded and installed the HP version of 3.5i U4, i have added the root account and password to the default wbem setting in global protocol settings but when i identify the system it tells me "The system is not a VMware ESX Host, or WBEM credentials may not be specified, skipping VM Identification" and if i try to subscribe that server to wbem events i get
Create Subscriptions for:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (i replace my ip with xxx)
FAILED to create indication subscription.
where am i going wrong ?
