EVA5000 attached to SMAM
I have an EVA 5000 array attached to an HP Storage Mgmt Appliance, but the EVA is not showing up in the SMH, nor Data Collection Report, of the appliance server in HPSIM 5.0SP5.
I installed the SMI-S for Command View EVA 4.1 and can successfully query the EVA from the HPSIM server using wbemdisco.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: EVA5000 attached to SMAM
I got this to work with CV 5 but had to edit the file wbemportlist.xml to do it.
Unfortunately we had some problems with CV 5 so we retreated to CV 4 and I've not been able to rediscover the EVA8000 since.
I've tried the original and updated xml file with no luck. Like you wbemdisco works fine.

Re: EVA5000 attached to SMAM
Apologies, I misread the EVA5000 as EVA8000.
There is a troubleshooting guide around somewhere. I'm just trying to rediscover it.
You do need to do a Discovery on an IP range that includes the CommandView server in order to pick up teh EVA, it then takes some time to populate the details.

Re: EVA5000 attached to SMAM
I've deleted and rediscovered the mgmt appliance a few times and it still doesn't pick up any EVA devices.
Adding the root/pg_interop into wbemportslist.xml didn't help either.
I have an open case with HP support. If we get it working I will post the fix.
Thanks.
