Event E-Mail Inconsistencies

DL380-G2 running W2K3 server.

I recently setup e-mail notification to send alerts for all systems on any event. To test this function I pulled out one of the Ethernet connections and received e-mails - worked great.

But when I pulled one on the hard drives, the critical event was recognized on my CMS server, but I did not receive any e-mail events. Why?

The alerts arrived just really late and after other events that happened previously.
