Event ID 1010 and DNS service
After Installation of CIM-Agnets (Smartstart Version 7.0) are in the Event Log a lot off messages with ID 1010 Perflib with the DNS Service.
Can anyone tell me what I can do the solve this problem.

It is unlikely that the new hp Management Agents are causing the DNS performance counter issue; they are simply reporting them.
A better question would be why there are performance counter issues in the first place.

This issue I have seen on Windows 2000 servers. HP and Microsoft traded blows on the issue but there was no victor. To fix the problem you will need to use a MS tool from Microsoft to reregister the Perf Counters. The tool is called PCRWizard and you will need to have the .NET framework installed on the machine you are running it on.
