exclude ip range from polling

I have SIM 5 sp3 runing. SIM is adding servers on a "test" subnet that should not be monitored. I do not have any automatic discovery task running.
I believe it is the "Daily device identification" task or "Hardware status polling" task
Is there a way to filter or exclude devices or a whole ip subnets from being discoverd and automatically added other than with the discovery tool?
