Failover solution for CMS
Hy.
I have 2 servers, 380G3, Windows 2000 Advanced Server. One is primary node in our primary data center and the secound is of course disaster recovery node in a disastery recovery data center. How can I setup failover solution for CMS? Servers are by different hostnames and different IP addresses.
I read thread
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=820351
but I dont find it very assuring. What happens to certificates (hostname is changed). What happens to endpoints (SNMP destination has changed)?
Can I create a DNS alias for CMS and configure endpoint to send traps to that alias? This depends on SNMP and how it works.
Is SIM cluster capable? MS Cluster that is.
Tnx in advance.
