False POST errors via SNMP
I have been getting the following Post error alert via SNMP generated by CIM. The server has been up for over 5 days!
The trap is:
PROCESSED Hnd=1-1-1081883548 Tue Apr 13 13:12:28 2004 [CIM_6027] ATEDMZW01
CIM_6027 ; source=CIM ; sub_source=Compaq_Insight_Manager ; origin=199.213.148.xxx ; adapter_host=cacgseiemxxx ; specificTrap=6027 ; severity=MINOR ; hostname=ATEDMxxx ; msg='POST errors have occured' ; cpq_info='Power-on self test errors have occured on ATEDMZxxx.' ; END
It's a Proliant DL380 G3 running version 7.0 of the HP Management agents on Windows 2000 advaced server OS.
Any ideas why I am getting these alerts?

Re: False POST errors via SNMP
Do you mean these are showing up in the All Events list in HP Systems Insight Manager? Or do you mean that you are being emailed directly by the agent using Event Monitor? (I ask because the format of the message is strange)

Re: False POST errors via SNMP
This seems to be from Compaq Insight Manager which is now two generations behind.
You might want to look to moving to the new HPSIM, wait for the soon to be released 4.1.
In the meantime, I'd check the Integrated Management Log and clear any errors there. You can do this either via the Insight Manager Agent or the Integrated Management Log Utility.
