Faulting application mxquery.exe
I'm starting to see a lot of these errors on the SIM CMS server :
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application Error
Event Category: (100)
Event ID: 1000
Date: 10/19/2007
Time: 11:11:02 AM
User: N/A
Computer: ST-W43
Description:
Faulting application mxquery.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module mxquery.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x0000b79b.
If at this point the SIM service is restarted I may also get these errors, which really does not look too good:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: HP Systems Insight Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 3
Date: 10/19/2007
Time: 11:17:26 AM
User: N/A
Computer: ST-W43
Description:

Any idea what goes wrong ? SIM will usually eventually get back online but I'm kind of worried this is going to result in database problems, the database is rather large with lots of devices and users, loosing that wouldn't be too fun.

Re: Faulting application mxquery.exe
Additionally, would it be an idea to upgrade the SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 ?
