forward SNMP traps using custom command in SIM
Hello,
I'm using SIM to manage a pool of servers. I've configured SNMP agents on the servers to send traps to the SIM server (EMS + Data Protector events). The traps are correctly received, and email alerts are generated. I need to configure SMS alerts which can be triggered using a script that has been provided to me. But when I use it with SIM as a custom command, I could not find a way to pass the trap message to the script so I could receive it. So, How do I extract the message body from SIM to send it via SMS (Is there any variable mechanism like NNM ?).
Thanks,
Farid.

Re: forward SNMP traps using custom command in SIM
A number of variables are passed through to a Custom Command by default. You can use the contents of these.
See:

Look at Ch.11 and expand the Custom Commands Section, there's a section that covers the variables and the data they contain.
