FreeBSD/UNIX/LINUX management agents
Can I added FreeBSD agents to my Windows Server based HPSIM console? If so where do I download the agent?

Re: FreeBSD/UNIX/LINUX management agents
I've not seen any FreeBSD Agents, but you can get agents for SUSE & Redhat as well as a couple of Unix variants.

Re: FreeBSD/UNIX/LINUX management agents
hi
Question should be : Can I manage ProLiant servers running FreeBSD with an HP SIM server running on windows?
HP SIM can managed devices running on multiple OS including linux. However the default supported linux based OS are the following :
Linux managed systems
Red Hat Linux 9
Red Hat Linux 8
Red Hat Linux 7.3 Workstation
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 for x86 with Update 1, AMD64 and EM64T with Update 1, and Itanium-based systems
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 x86 with Update 6, AMD64 and EM64T with Update 6, and Itanium-based systems
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 x86 with Update 9, AMD64 and EM64T with Update 9, and Itanium-based systems
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 for x86, AMD64 and EM64T with Service Pack 1, and Itanium-based systems
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 for x86 with Service Pack 4, AMD64 and EM64T with Service Pack 4, and Itanium-based systems
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 for United Linux 1.0 and Itanium-based systems
Integrity Virtual Machine Linux running guest on Linux
VMware GSX
VMware ESX 3.5
Concerning FreeBSD, I would advise you to read the following doc : PAge 26 onward :-) custom builds and packaging :
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00223285/c00223285.pdf
It should help you rebuild the HPASM, HPSMH packages.
Hope it helps
Fred
