Gen 8 servers not showing hardware status in SIM

Gen 8 servers not showing hardware status in SIM

In SIM, I have over 200 servers reporting HS,MP,SW and ES status fine except all 20+ of my Gen 8. None will show Software status.

Can anyone tell me why the GEN 8 are acting differently and how to get it reporting?

 

Any help is appreciated

Hi,

 

Gen8 servers behave differntly as previous generations of HP servers.

They support agentless monitoring through the agentless amangement service. This service ensures data is sent to the iLO so in fact monitoring no longer relies on agents sending information to the monitoring system. of course this also means data does no longer (by default) flows from iLO to agents.

I made sure that the agentless management services is installed and that the SNMP is set up in the ILO as described in the document. I then did and system identify and software pooling and am still not getting any software information. I confirmed that these servers are assigned to the correct baseline for the OS.  Any other ideas? Thanks for the help
