have forgotten management agent password

how can i reset the agent password on the sever if it has been lost?

You have a couple of options (that I know of). You can replicate the Agent settings from another agent that you know the password of to the affected machine or you can do the following.

1) From an agent you know the password of, copy both cpqhmmd.acl and .cfg from C:\Compaq\WebEM to the same directory on the target machine.

2) Restart the Insight Agents.

It should now have the same password as the source machine.

You can restart the "Foundation Agent" and that in turn restarts your Web Agent. Recently it is now known as the HP Insight Foundation agent.

You can reinstall the Proliant Support Pack,
when you start the PSP:
1. configure the Insight Agent
2. Check: Force overwrite newer or existing
3. install PSP
4. restart
